The similarities between Islam, Christianity, and Judaism are that all three religions development during the period around 600 B.C.E (“before the common era,” or before Christ) to 600 C.E. (“common era,” the same as A.D.).
Islam has the Quran in which was revealed to the prophet Mohammed and over a period of 20 years the final revelation given by Allah to mankind. Christianity has the Holy Bible this given by God to mankind and God inspired the writers of the Bible in their writings Christians refer to the Bible as “the Word of God” (2 Timothy 3:16), and Judaism has the Hebrew Tanakh and is similar to the Christian Old Testament.
The Hebrew Tanakh is comprised of the Torah (‘Law’), Nev’i’m (Prophets), and Ketuvim (‘Writings’). All three have a sacred text that was given to them. The three religions believe in one God, and in the holy writings of the religion that share many themes and ethics. Each has their own sacred text.
All three believe in God but in Islam is Allah, and in Judaism is God (monotheistic). All three have had divisions within the religions. Islam, as do the other two religions is monotheistic. All three religions originated from the Hebrews. All three religions do believe that Jesus was crucified. Islam along with Christianity believes in the Virgin Mary and Judaism does not.
All three of the religions have various rituals and ceremonies such as marriage, birth, and death. Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, accept the life after death and believe there is some type of punishment for the wrongs done while alive.
