Balance Scoreboard

Organizing and managing any organization, a clear strategy is necessary. Without a strategy the people guiding the business will run it by intuition and letting circumstance dictate the course of action. A new organization faces many problems and without having a defined strategy it’s easy to focus on the immediate concerns without an idea of how one’s actions will contribute to the long-term success of the organization. A new approach called the balance scoreboard helps businesses have a strategic plan and management system that is used in businesses to align business activities to the vision and strategy organization, improve internal and external communications, and monitor organization performance against strategic goals (Harvard School). In this paper I will talk about the internal and external communications about the business I would like to start.

Financial

A basketball camp has a variety of stakeholders, which is referred to in business customers. First there are the players who are there to learn and who are the central to the purpose for which the camp was formed. Then there are the parents of the players who have selected their children to attend camp, pay camp fees and might even do volunteer work if their child is picked to play on the traveling team. There are also the people who make donations to the camp because they continue to provide new ideas for improvements in the camp. The donors are committed to the principles upon which the camp was started and are enthusiastic about the vision of what the camp can accomplish.

Every new enterprise has limited capital for what it really wants. A basketball camp is no difference. It’s important to target the financial resources that are available for the accomplishment of the goals that have been set. Having a sound financial management is...
