Planning a Children’s Birthday Party ABSTRACT This project illustrates the time it takes to plan a children’s birthday party. There are 29assigned tasks and these tasks are based on minutes. While planning the party with no problems, the birthday party will be successful and on time. INTRODUCTION I am helping my aunt plan a birthday party for her 10 year old daughter. Being part of a planning committee is very interesting to me. As an employee of the Shawnee State University Development Foundation, I get a chance to help coordinate many events provided by the University, such as the President’s Gala, Committee Meetings, and other formal dinners. This experience gives me many ideas for other parties besides dinners. The source of each task is a chronological listing of * tasks that must be done in order to ensure a successful party. In order to plan a successful the network program is an important aid, as well as anticipating any problems that could occur at any time. There are many problems that could conflict the planning of a party. For example: Weather could delay the party as well. If the weather becomes a problem, make sure to call every guest that received an invitation and reschedule the party for a later date. During the 1960's, project management emerged by an intellectual interest. Later in the 1960's, modern project management tools and methods began to widen through the construction industry. In the 1970's, firms started to use project management as a permanent project function. At this time, project management began to incorporate time, cost, and quality, also known as TCQ.
