COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course NSTP 101 and 102 or National Service Training Program is the application and implementation of the NSTP Law which focuses on community development. NSTP 101 provides the backdraft and theoretical framework of the program while NSTP 102 is the continuation and validation phase. The course shall provide opportunities for students to exemplify the national objectives of NSTP-CWTS, LTS and the Expected Lasallian Graduate Attributes (ELGA) through immersion with the general welfare and the betterment of life for the members of the community or the enhancement of its facilities, especially those devoted to improving health, education, environment, risk reduction, peace-making process, safety, recreation and morals of the citizenry.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

On completion of the course, the student is expected to be able to:

LO 1: Create a meaningful involvement with people’s lives in the community

LO 2: Develop sense of belongingness to the community via participation in community forums, group discussion, activities and projects

LO 3: Promote national consciousness and responsible citizenship

FINAL COURSE OUTPUT:
