In terms of revenue that are generated in Pennsylvania's as the top five agricultural products are dairy products, cattle and calves, greenhouse and nursery products, mushrooms, and chicken eggs.

Livestock

In this almost 70% of Pennsylvania's agricultural income is obtained by livestock and also from livestock products. Thus milk is considered as the state's most important livestock product. Therefore Pennsylvania is a leading state in the production of milk. And also beef cattle ranks second among the state's production in this region.

The most valuable livestock products are chicken eggs, broilers known as young chickens, and hogs that are generated from revenues in the state. Thus Pennsylvania is also a leading egg-producing state. Mostly turkeys are raised up in the state and there is more activity in aquaculture. It is also used in raising sheep and lambs. The advantages are that farmers will have healthier children due to fruit consumption.

Crops

In crops, greenhouse and nursery products mainly generate the largest revenues around 9% of total agricultural receipts while mushrooms rank second, which produces 8% of Pennsylvania's total agricultural products. Therefore corn for grain, hay and soybean crops is also very much important in the state's agricultural economy. There are also other field crops that grow in the state like wheat, tobacco, and oats. It also has vegetables that make the highest contributions to Pennsylvania's economy like sweet corn, potatoes, tomatoes, beans, and cabbage. In this the advantage is that it uses only less pesticide due to insect pest resistant plants.

Mining

In mining Pennsylvania is considered as a leading coal-producing state and is also the best one in mining anthracite coal. Therefore limestone which is used for cement and roadbeds, and natural gas are considered as other important mined products in the state. Thus Pennsylvania also produces some good form of sand, gravel and petroleum.
