Abstract:

This research proposal research of tourists’ adoption of Yorkshire traditional culture may help to increases the attraction and promotion of local tourism. The traveller aged below 35 occupied fewer percentages than the average across all of the cities, as York tends to attract older visitors generally. John S. (2002) claims “… most attractions that were designed specifically to attract tourists are of a more modern era and have been true attractions from their first day of existence. Events and festivals can be of either type depending on whether they are traditional events that adopted by tourists…” A famous traditional event is not easy to defined, and it could be successes in a short term but could not least long because of many reasons.

This project will present the background of Yorkshire and current tourism market at the begging, the purpose to introduce the region’s current situation is figure out the advantage of Yorkshire tourism market in the England. Even the UK in a recession economy position, the total number visitor willing to travel around still in an upper level and the number will rise in the following term. The percentages of leisure trips in Yorkshire tend to grow up rapidly. This research will declare a plan for hosting a regional culture event, and what need to prepare for this event. Appropriate schedules of work, outputs, budget, data collection and summary CVs have also been included.
