Review of television series NCIS

Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is a drama on CBS. This series revolves around a cast of investigators who investigate crimes that pertain to the United States Navy and the Marine Corp. The series is actually a spin off of JAG. It has become such a popular show that the creators, Donald Bellisario and Don McGill, created NCIS- Los Angles as well. The show premiered on September 23, 2003 and is still going strong. In 2011, NCIS was voted as America’s favorite television show.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service Major Case Response Team (MCRT) is the inspiration for the shows team. They are located in Washington, D.C. Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs is the leader of a team of special agents belonging to the NCIS. Gibbs is a former marine who relies often on his gut feelings. He is also an excellent investigator. Second in command for Gibbs is Senior Field Agent Tony DiNozzo, a movie-quoting former Baltimore Homicide Detective. He is also quite the ladies man. Despite being the class clown he always gets the job done. The team also consists of probationary field agent Ziva David, a former Mossad officer who always getting her quotes wrong due to the language barrier, as well as Junior Field Agent Timothy McGee, who is a great hacker, and often mocked by DiNozzo. Assisting them are Abby Scioto, the quirky Goth lab tech who is like a daughter to Gibbs, and Dr. Donald Mallard, nicknamed Ducky, the eccentric medical examiner full of unusual stories to tell his patients. This show is a combination of drama and comedy. The actors are outstanding and the plots are driven by the characters. The characters are what really draw in the viewers. You really feel as if you know them and can relate to them in some way. They all have stories.

Even if you have never tuned in before you can watch one show and feel you really know the characters. This show will not disappoint. It will keep...
