Patton-Fuller Community Hospital

Patton-Fuller Community Hospital manages its daily activities designed to meet the needs of the patients. The hospital is well-appointed with the technology to run the system at a competence that can perform between the various departments and to ensure that it meets the requirements both for patients and employees. The hospital provides specialized services and programs that will maintain and support the welfare and health of the community. Technology when better invested can be improve and upgraded to best fit the flow of daily activities this paper will analyze the network system in use, and identify the wireless technology in use and its advantage (Apollo Group, 2012).

Patton-Fuller Community Hospital includes various departments that each has different function and IT requirements. PFCH is equipped with a high-end technology structure and the key to making a system work is making sure that the system implemented is compatible and in aligned with the company’s goals and mission. Establishing the system to meet business goals includes network perspective on logical network, administration network details, radiology, RIS data center, and IT data center. Protecting information and important data for both patients and employees to be in compliance under HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) is a major goal and the system has to conform to the level of security it requires. It is important to adhere to federal regulation such as HIPAA because it is a mandated national standards and procedures for the use, storage, and transmission of personal, medical information, and all other health care data (Harris, 2010).
