Art of War

The book Art of War was originally written by Sun Tzu in the 6th century BC in Chinese. Throughout the time, it has been translated to numerous languages due to its extremely useful content. It is the first known book about war and its strategies. This book is considered as one of the best-selling leadership, military strategies and tactic books of all times. However, it is far more about war. It is about any type of struggle or conflict. Art of War has come in handy to many areas, such as business, fashion, politics or any other competitive fields, who need tips on how to be ahead of their competitor so that therefore no violence will be preformed.

Generals who prepare for war, businessmen who plan to takeover a business, politicians who plan their campaigns and get more votes, and mainly almost everyone, have used this important book. The reason why they use this book so often is usually because of the topics it addresses, such as its target at invincibility, victory, strength, and leadership. Leaders worldwide consult with this book because its advice works in many different situations. As a matter of fact, leaders in business relate to this book greatly because business is like war. It is a fight between companies who struggle to achieve their goals. They have to eliminate their competition so that one will prevail and be recognized the most, which is where war can be seen.

Sun Tzu expressed in his book, “So it is said that if you know others and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know others but know yourself, you win one and lose one; if you do not know others and do not know yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.” This advice can be crucial in countless situations.
