CAMPBELL SOUP

Campbell’s Soup is considered to be the worlds leading maker and marketer of soup due to their products being sold in 120 countries around the world. Although on November 23rd, 1922 Campbells’ was incorporated as a business operation in New Jersey, the heritage in the food business can be tracked back in 1869. To ensure this is possible the corporate ensures that the measurement of the balance scorecard is continually monitored. To ensure this continued monitoring is accomplished the corporation has adopted a method called “Condensed Capitalism”. The farm workers were trying to protect themselves from being paid under the minimum wage as well as protecting themselves and the public from environmental issues relating to pesticide sprays. After two years of negotiations, in 1986 it signed a historic three-way labor contract with tomato and pickle growers. This milestone for campbell’s employees ensures their rights to have an equal voice whether working in the factories or in the fields. This also gave the farm workers better working conditions through classification of being considered as paid employees with all the relating rights to this title.

Since the signing of the three-way contract, Campbell’s has developed one of the most progressive unions in the med-twentieth century....
