MEMORANDUM

TO: Accounting Team

FROM: Nathan Graham

DATE: September 14th, 2011

SUBJECT: Business Etiquette Training

This memo is being sent out to address Etiquette and so that we can improve ourselves on proper business etiquette.

We recently have been contacted by a client who pointed out a severe problem that is running throughout our office. The issue we brought to my attention was that our new employees lack proper Business Etiquette training. Our clients have high expectations for us to act in a professional and mannerly way.

This solution to this problem is clear. We will be setting up two meetings by the end of this month. Your attendance will be mandatory to one of the two meeting times, only if you were hired after January 1st, 2011. These meetings are optional for other team members. The two meeting agendas will be the same so it is no use for you to come to both of them, unless you want the extra practice. During these times we will be going over proper business etiquette. This will cover manners, attire, how to groom yourself, and proper communication.

Pulling people away from their comfort zones is not going to be easy. Once you can open yourself up and shake off the butterflies you will be just fine. We are hoping that after our meetings, business etiquette will be something that you practice day in and day out. Our present business etiquette is allowing possible clients to change to another accounting firm to handle their business. We need to sharpen our skills so we can land these clients and help our branch pull in bigger numbers.

I will be very appreciative to all new employees who take these meeting serious. If you are a veteran to this team you are more then welcome to attend these meetings, to help run them and/or to learn a few new business etiquette techniques. This company needs you to be able to stay in business, and to achieve its high goals.

Thank you for your time...
