Abstract

Amazon.com is an e-commerce website has emerged as one of the top leaders in the e-business world. The originally purpose of the company was to start a website that sold books at discount prices (http://www.amazon.com/). Now, Amazon.com sells many different types of products to its customers. Amazon not only is a direct seller, but they allow third party companies and vendors to sell their new or used products on Amazon's site through an auction process (MarketWatch, 2006). Amazon is divided into two different business parts, which is business within North America and business internationally which includes Canada, France, Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom (MarketWatch, 2006). Customers are able to find beauty supplies, clothing, jewelry, food, books, DVD’s, computers, furniture, toys, and almost anything else you might want to buy.
