Amish Culture

Throughout the history of the planet, there has been a wide diversity of different cultures. These cultures can characterize a single tribe, or characterize a large flourishing race or culture. These different types of cultures have a distinct way of surviving that suits them for a cretin area and can determine where the culture will reside. This paper will focus on just one of these diverse cultures; the Amish. The Amish are a society of emerging agriculturalist, and because of this it reflects the many related aspects of their culture. So, what exactly is an emerging agriculturalist society, and how do they function? The agriculturalist lifestyle is the main bases of how the Amish live, and how they make their living. The Amish are also a Christian abbey that traces its roots to the Protestant Reformation in sixteenth-century Europe. Amish bodies acquire fundamental Christian behavior but additionally accept some appropriate interpretations and emphases that they accept that have emerged throughout their history. They migrated from Europe to North America in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. No Amish reside in Europe to this day. Today they live in 448 bounded settlements in 28 states and the Canadian area of Ontario. Their populace (adults and children) totals about 261,150 (Adam, 2005). Their unique methods make them one of our country's most exciting and vibrant religious subcultures. In this paper I will continue to examine and identify their cultural subsistence. Even though there are many other interesting cultures around the world, the impact that their society type has on strengthening their beliefs and values, how it impacts the cultural practices, and how it affects the Amish social organization are what make them unique.
