PLANKING

Planking is the action of kids lying face down with arms to the sides of their body, in unusual public spaces and photographing it. I think it is crazy. I have never really heard of it until recently. I did hear about that boy falling and he died doing it. I think that is such a stupid way to die, but it was that boys time to go. Even though someone passed away from this you would think that it would create a more alarming alert for parents and authority plus kids.. I see a lot of kids doing it at the mall and nothing is being done about it. The security guys just sit and watch with the audience. I think it started out in Australia and everyone continued to do it. It is rapidly increasing. It’s not that big in the United States that I know of but its growing fast. I would think that if someone died because of it, then it would stop, but obviously not because it is spreading everywhere. Facebook and Twitter have their own pages of Planking. The hits alone are outrageous. They are thousands of pictures on Facebook with kids all ages doing crazy planking. If kids would just keep it to a minimal and not do it in public places maybe the media and the law wouldn’t be on them about this crazy stunt. There are a lot of pictures with children planking at schools on the steps in the hallways and in the lunchrooms. If kids see that it’s ok to do it in schools then eventually kids will thinks its okay to do it in school. My daughter says it’s not allowed in her school because of the dangers that come along with it. I would never do it because I’m not a follower. There are so many kids out there that think it’s cool just to stop right in the middle of a public place and lay completely straight on floor and have people watch them for hours or even people step over them. I heard that a few kids got arrested in a train station because they were lying all over the floor and passengers had nowhere to walk.
