I believe in trying new things
I believe in trying new things.
Every time when I go shipping, I always buy some stuff that I have never used or bought before. It has become a habit for me. I don’t know when I begin to do that but I am sure that I got it from my mom.
When I went to super market with my mom, I always could found some foods in the shopping cart that I had never seen or eaten before. Sometimes they were taste good. Sometimes they were terrible.
When I came to America, I realized that everything is new for me and I had to try new things.
After I arrived at America, I was living in school dome. The first trouble was how to get something to eat. Because I arrived at school in summer vacation so most parts of school was closed. The only place where I could get some food, was the SUBWAY in the campus. Because I had eaten SUBWAY in China before, so I thought I could handle it. But soon I found I was wrong.
When I walked in the SUBWAY, a waiter said hello to me. Then he asked me I want a pizza or sandwich. “I want a sandwich.” I said. He asked “what kind of bread?” “What kind of bread?” I repeated it by myself lightly and totally lost. Soon the waiter seemed to realize something and pointed on the show window which had a bread menu. Because the only word I knew was “Wheat”, so I just ordered the wheat bread. “And what kind of meat?” he asked. I looked around the show window and I didn’t find other menu for the meats. But I guessed there must have some kind of sausage, so I just said “I want sausage.” The waiter pointed at a box and said “is that one?” I nodded my head and I felt so luck because there were some kind of sausage. After I chosen the cheese, vegetables and sauces, finally I got my sandwich.
Even I found the sandwich I made was not that good and the ordering process is horrible but I thought this try is wonderful. I understood how to order a sandwich in American SUBWAY and even...
