I have worked for many organizations that use project management to run their business. One particular business projects that I can witness, uses project management for a project is Academy & Outdoors. This is one organization that does not clearly think out the project goals required for a project to achieve. This company has many departments that are specialized in different product and services. Many team members were placed in a different department and they were not trained for it. As this hurt with sales because the member had no good knowledge of what the product will provide for the customer. part of their aspects for the organization was in good order to serve clients. They developed a good return policy for the customers, however training procedures and standard needed more attention.

Apparel was one part of the organization that constantly has projects to complete. They are required to change prices for each sponsor apparel that they obtain and sale in the organization. Communication skills were poor for this organization. Sometimes information was shared to late or not at all. This company has several locations, but I have visited others and they are having the same problem. As this business is making good profits because of the various products they provide, but they could be making so much more, if they better plan the requirements for the day-to-day projects at hand.

As we were given this project at 5:30 am and was required to be completed before the day ends to complete it. We had to tear down each planogram and re-build them from scratch. We used planograms, presentations, inventory, and more for this project. The requirements for this project were well thought out, but management needed more involvement.
