Riverfront Hotel Information Systems

Company Description

The Riverfront Hotel of Grand Rapids is a full-service hotel that serves the central business district of the city. Located on Ann Street off of US-131, the 162-room hotel carried the Radisson name until March of 2012, but now operates as an independent lodging. It features an indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, fitness center, complimentary wireless Internet access and business class suites. The hotel's restaurant, The Landing, has been a local favorite for over forty years and showcases menu items made from ingredients that support West Michigan farmers. The adjacent sports and entertainment lounge offers live music and entertainment five nights a week, as well as its own menu with happy hour specials. Both restaurant and bar provide guests with a scenic view overlooking the Grand River. The hotel is also equipped with banquet facilities, including 2,585 square feet of meeting space available for social and business events. Wedding receptions are frequently held here during the summer months. The Riverfront Hotel employs approximately one hundred full and part-time people at the height of its season ("Riverfront Hotel", 2012).

He decided to part ways with the Radisson brand (a hotel franchise owned by the Carlson Co. Inc. with headquarters in Minnetonka, Minnesota) when Carlson's rebranding strategy did not align with Sullivan's own views for the Ann Street location ("Former Radisson," 2012).
