Socio-geographic factors are everywhere. There are no two people, which are alike. People have unique qualities, backgrounds, races, and upbringings, which bring diversity to any employer. The Walmart Corporation or Walmart has learned accept socio-geographic factors while making a profit. Walmart originated with distinct circumstances that continue to look for opportunities like, marketing approaches, international growth, diversification, and employee advances.

According to Walmart Stores, Inc. (2010), Sam Walton said it best when he stated “If we work together, we’ll lower the cost of living for everyone…we’ll give the world and opportunity to see what it’s like to save and have a better life” Sam Walton created Walmart in 1962; this discount superstore grew rapidly across the United States. In the late 1980s there were more than over 1,000 stores and more than 100 Sam’s Club retail locations throughout the nation. Sam Walton had a dream to give his customers the opportunity to save money, and his dream quickly became a reality. According to Walmart Stores, Inc. (2010) “Today, there is approximately 8446 stores and club’s in 15 different countries. According to Walmart Stores, Inc. (2010) They employ more than 2.1 million employees and serve more than 176 million customers per year” Walmart’s success can be derived from the company’s values initiated by Sam Walton, who demanded the company to provide exceptional customer service. Sam Walton stated in his autobiography, “If you think about it from the point of view of the customer, you wan everything: a wide assortment of quality merchandise; the lowest price possible guaranteed satisfaction; friendly, knowledgeable service; convenient hours; and a pleasant shopping experience.
