Part I

Define the following terms:

• How is discrimination different from prejudice and stereotyping?

Discrimination is different from prejudice and stereotyping because in order

for you to discriminate you have to take action. Prejudice and stereotyping is

how you feel about someone or a group of people. It is also different because there are many forms of discrimination. The reading referenced reverse discrimination, which is the dominate race feeling that they receive unjust treatment in order to give just treatment to minorities; then you have total discrimination, when the past and the present discrimination combines to create poor schools and menial jobs; I described institutional discrimination in Part I.
