Term Definition

Ethnic group A group of people whose members identify with each other through a common culture, heritage, religion and language.

Anti-Semitism A suspicion of, hatred toward, or discrimination against Jews for reasons connected to their Jewish heritage.

Islamophobia Prejudice, racism, hatred or fear against Islam or Muslims.

Xenophobia Intense dislike against people from other countries.

Persecution The systematic mistreatment of an individual or group by another group.

Religious group Organized group based on their religious beliefs not officially linked to state or government.
