Strategic Plan, Part 1: Conceptualizing a Business

In my paper, I will explain the type of business I have selected and the strategic plan I will use to describe my mission statement, my business’s vision and the values in determining my direction for future plans.

My business vision is the opening of a family owned day care center and focusing in providing our clients distinction and providing any special services. Our services will be unique and to their needs, which in return will allow the client to choose our daycare. Our main vision will be to become the daycare that will understand and will fit the customer’s and child’s needs.

Our mission statement will be “To provide quality early childhood care for the children of busy parents and to support children’s desire to be life-long learners.” We will provide excellent child care, provide a nurturing, educational and secure environment for the children; a place for the children to bloom into considerate and responsible members of society.

Our facility will want the children to have the opportunity to grow emotionally physically, intellectually and socially by exploring, learning and playing with others in a healthy, safe and fun environment. We want to encourage a parent-teacher approach where the needs of every child come first. The child will experience the benefits of excellent school-age programs and early childhood education.

Some guiding principles will need to be established. These guidelines will encompass our beliefs and values and will help us guide our day care center. Some guiding principles to take into consideration are as follows:

Organization – Organization will allow you to clear your mind and act towards different objectives. Dedication – If you do at least one thing you have been putting off every day, it will put you ahead and be successful. Confidence – Feel as good as possible and achieve a sense of well-being.
