The sales and service center of EBL at AZIMPUR is a relatively new center. It has been in operations since

December 2011. With less than one year in business, the sales and service center at AZIMPUR is yet to

make its mark in the local community. Although, as far as we are concerned, AZIMPUR is at par with its

business target for the year 2012, a considerable room for improvement is there for the sales and

service center. There is also need for improvisation on the part of the members of the sales and service

center.

The center is equipped with reasonably new employees, just like its tenure. Most of the employees are

new in banking business. Apart for the two apex positions of the center, almost all the positions are

filled with inexperienced members. For instance, the head of center’s sales & service has little banking

experience, if any. The person is a Principle Officer and ACSM, but lacks the banking acumen. His lack of

expertise, coupled with his personality traits, is hurting the business as he is responsible for the center’s

annual turnover. The position of ACSM (S&S) must be bestowed to an individual who is ready to take

responsibility, and who has adequate management skills to lead a team of about half a dozen novice

bankers. The management should put a more experienced person, who is more cooperative and better

equipped to motivate the team members, in this designation.

All the other members of the sales and service team also fall under the same discretion. But as none of

them are the leader of the pack, they may be extended with more time to learn without affecting the

business adversely. The management must ensure that this young workforce is under the prudent

guidance of SSM, and also CSM Operations, in the best possible manner. To draw a picture of the team,

we can summarize that there is no RM, or even SRO at AZIMPUR. There are three ROs who are relatively
