1. Why is the Constitution called a living document? Give examples.

I believe the Constitution is a living document for several reasons. First, it was created 200 years ago and it has been and it will the guide to govern the United States of America. I was created with the purpose of providing a fair system of government making sure that no single person would have a totalitarian power, and this have been practice since its creation. Second, it is not strict and radical because it can be amend it; it is not easy to do but as the time pass by and new generations come, different interpretations are made making possible to make the necessary changes. A good example would be the Bill of Rights, which are the first ten amendments to the Constitution.

2. What factors make it amazing that any organization among the colonies was successful?

In my opinion what made amazing the fact that any organization among the colonies was successful was the strength they had in what they believe and the firm decision to make it a reality. They fought together and they risked everything they had including money, families and their lives, to make their voices heard and they got it. I think that The Mayflower Compact is a very good example that shows the colonists' determination to be independent. Their opposition to the Stamp Act and Quartering Act, as well as the Boston Tea Party and the Boston Massacre are clear examples of their courage and willingness to do whatever was necessary to be successful.

3. Does pluralism have any negative aspects? Why have some fought so hard against the concept in the US?

Pluralism for the most part I believe is something positive. The idea is to have a society living in harmony with different kinds of people with different believes, traditions and interests, but all of them working together and contributing with the community. To me, there is nothing wrong with this. The only problem I see, and it could be the reason why some have fought so hard...
