::Task of Effective and Efficient Leaders::

• First things first, when presenting yourself as a Team Leader and the fulfillment of the responsibilities held by the leader, you must always start by establishing clear channels or outlets for communication and elaboration between all separate members of the team, this way everyone will learn who each other is, how to contact them (chat rooms, email, video conferencing, groupware, etc.), and how to portray each person’s stance on the topics and tasks for the team to accomplish.

• Secondly, as a leader, you must continue to keep a straight line focus on the task presented to you and your team. This will involve keeping a friendly reminder update to each member individually as well as a reminder of the overall status of the team versus their accomplishments and struggles towards achieving the goal at hand.

• Some members of the team may have trouble staying in or initiating contact with other members of the team, it is the leaders’ responsibility to help these individuals in establishing and maintaining contact to further contribute to the group.

• Not only is it very important to stay very hands-on and active in group/team discussions, but also to stay supportive of these discussions and what the other members have to say, even if you may not exactly agree with it. If you don’t participate, other team members won’t either!

• Make sure that you have a structured system for storing and collecting vital information presented and produced by the team during discussions, this way it won’t be lost and can be used later on to help further establish strong points of collaboration to accomplish the teams tasks.

• Even though you may have established and introduced all the team members to one another, take a bit of time to continue to re-kindle and strengthen these relationships so that as you and your members build closer together, you can also build...
