Global Warming Effects on Ice Caps

 

 For as long as I can remember, global warming has been a highly discussed topic among my generation. With temperatures rising at an unbelievable fast pace and with ice glaciers melting; and rising sea levels, the world as we know it is in major trouble. There are many steps that should be taken in writing this research paper on global warming; however, to begin this research I analyzed the topic thoroughly. By analyzing this topic thoroughly, this research will indicate the process in which I gather information; brainstorm, develop question, formatted, and identify possible sources.

            Brainstorming is the first step that I took in doing a research paper. In brainstorming on global warming, I first jointed down the known facts about global warming. I knew global warming had something to do with the usages of chemical and wasting a lot of stuff. I knew it human daily activities also played a major role in it as well. With knowing all of this, my main focus from there was to learn the real cause and effect of global warming. Some people say the cause is burning fossil fuels that cause a high level of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases that are constantly polluting the air each day. Others blame the problem on the government and their many attempts to fight with nuclear weapons. Despite of all the speculation that is circulating in the world today, the main question should be how we can fix this problem. In learning the cause and effect of global warming, I then proceeded to find the impact it was making on major ice caps.  In doing so, I research using both Alabama State University database and books within the library. Finding articles discussing the impact global warming is making on ice caps was a great source in writing this research paper.
