Within this paper has the determination of organizing a three-year strategic management proposal for Starbuck’s which includes: an economic assessment, a marketing assessment plan, a financial plan, organizational structure recommendation, supporting rationale, and financial statements and supporting documentation about the company. A SWOT analysis is a style of assessment that is prepared for corporations and it investigates the strengths, weakness, opportunity, and threats for the specified business. (Marcus, 2011, p.108)

The SWOT analysis is needed in order to generate the three-year strategic management proposal. It is understood that this business is one of the world’s major purchasers of superior coffee and it has stores located around the world. If we discuss the assets of the business, it can be applied that Starbuck’s appreciates powerful brand equity due to its quality of goods. The business has great pride by offering exceptional goods that customers are not able to discover in other coffee stores. Another asset of Starbuck’s is that their staff are fulfilled with their positions, fact that can be seen as the company is listed in Fortune’s top 100 companies to work for. Also, the company attracts the best people to be their employee’s; the fact is that can be seen in the quality of their products.

When referring to weaknesses, it can be considered that Starbuck’s has low rates in superstores and also the fact that it only focuses on people over 35 years of age. Starbucks has also been involved in various legal proceedings. In 2004, two of the business’s employees filed a lawsuit against Starbucks with the requirements of Fair Labor Standards Act or FLSA, while in October 2004 another employee filed a lawsuit against the company stating that Starbucks breached California’s Labor Code when it permitted shift supervisors to...
