Global warming and global climate change has become a very big issue within the past couple of decades. One of the reasons that global warming is a major issue is because the environment is really and truly affected by the climate change.Global Warming refers to the rising temperature of the earth due to an increased amount of greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases is basically like a sheet cover the earth that keeps the earth’s surface at least 33 degrees cooler than the present temperature. It was said that the years that the earth was hotter than usual was in the years of 1998 and 2005. There are plenty ways of how global warming occurs within the earth’s atmosphere. For example, among the biggest contributors are electrical generation, the use of passenger and other vehicles, over-consumption, international shipping, deforestation, smoking and militarism. The main thing that global warming affects is the climate. Burning coal, oil and natural gas causes a severe release carbon dioxide gas into the atmosphere in the earth. Typically, this may warm the earth and change the climate. It can also affect the severity and length of storms or droughts in specific areas in the earth. It is also said that other human activities, such as cutting down forests, raising cattle, and growing rice may have the same effect as burning coals and oils. Many people think that the whole global warming issue is hypothetical and full of personal feelings. However; there is proof that this is real and it does exist. It has been proven that waves are already washing over islands in the South Pacific, coastal cities and low-lying countries face severe flooding. Extreme weather conditions like hurricanes and tropical storms are intensifying, the polar ice caps and the world’s glaciers are melting, polar bears and other species are threatened with extinction, diseases are spreading more easily, crop failures are mounting.
