How might you use the strategies for applying creativity to problems and issues in addressing this topic?

The topic that I chose to write upon deals with the rising number of deaths in Americas due to homicide. Homicide is increasing in all areas of America. One strategy that is commonly used in a lot of problems is investigating. Getting to know the cause of any situation is the first approach to take when investigating the problem. Educating yourself about the community and surrounding area also helps to get background information. This will help to come up with solutions to the problem According to B.E.T.com, “Chicago, Illinois has the highest murder rate in America.” (Terrell, 2012) Most of these homicides are due to gun violence. The areas in which these murders are occurred are populated by African Americans and Latinos. This issue can be addressed numerous ways. The best was to approach it is to investigate and educate ourselves. This will help us be prepared for the situation on different angles.

How might you use the strategies for promoting curiosity in addressing this topic? Why do you think these strategies might be effective?

The strategies stated earlier can be used in many different ways. There are also different approaches to addressing the topic. One approach is to go within the community to educate you on the history of the area. This strategy is maybe effective when thinking of solutions to the problem which is high homicide rates in the city of Chicago. However, if this strategy is not effective, there are also other alternates. Applying you, meaning to make a commitment to reach a solution, can be an effective strategy. Joining together with other organizations or simply starting an organization of your own will help.
