To achieve success in any business ethical beliefs and social responsibility plays an incremental part in developing a strategic plan. Stakeholder needs should be considered when developing that plan. The goal of a business is to make a profit and to serve society, thus maintaining corporate social responsibility (CSR). CSR is the idea that businesses have a duty to serve society in general as well as the financial interest of stockholders (Pearce & Robinson, 2011). CSR in the workplace may lead to evaluating ethics and social responsibility, considering stakeholder needs. Well stated.

The two categories must be considered as they are both stakeholders. The most difficult part a company faces when developing a strategic plan is when defining the mission. The company has to develop a mission that pertains supportto its (?) social responsibility. The ethical beliefs of the managers will slightly reflectbe reflected (?) in the mission, company policy, and responsibilities. Ethical responsibility is the notion of right and proper business behavior (Pearce & Robinson, 2011). Ethics and social responsibility plays a role in the foundation of a business. Inside stakeholders and the outside stakeholders all have their own beliefs on what is ethical and careful consideration is needed when developing the strategic plan. When developing a strategic plan managers should consider the other types of social commitment other than ethical, which are economic, legal, and discretionary social responsibilities.
