So what happens when a soldier can’t meet the physical requiremenst in the Army? The risk of other soldiers dying is increased, And that’s an unneeded risk that can’t afford to be taken.

At first, one might question the importance of PT, specifically in the military intelligence field. I mean, realistically, our job is to remain in a sealed metal box for 12 hours, greatly reducing the chance that we may come into combat. But the fact is that even the m,ost minute possibility of combat, must be taken seriously.And if ever thrown into a combat scenario, Being physically fit will not noly keep you alive, but greatly increase the chances of rescuing an injured buddy.

Our number one job in the United states Military is to maintain the roll of soldier. We are all soldiers before our MOS, and if things were to ever get really crazy, we may be the ones on the front lines. The odds are slim to none, but again, Such a rare, but serious risk must be trained for. We are to be ready for anything and everything. And a big part in being prepared for the duties assigned to a soldier, is making sure you’re up to snuff on your PT.

There are any number of values that encourage soldiers to take a look at their own physical condition, and to maintain the level of excellence expected of a US soldier.Personal courage for one. Things may be hard, and there may be many obstacles in your path, but as a soldier, you have a duty to remain vigilant and strive toward your goal (In this case, getting your pt score where it needs to be.) It may be a long, hard journey to get your body at the physical level that you want it at, but it’s a job that must be done not only for your own protection, but the potential lives of covilians, other buddies, and generally your own health.
