How and why did Nazi tactics change after 1924?

Before 1924 the Nazi’s used the following tactics, they tried to win support by holding speeches by Hitler, they had a party newspaper called the “Volkischer Beobachter”, they used powerful symbols like the Swastika and they elected a new leader for the party, Hitler.

The Nazi party used violence as they formed a group called the SA who guarded Nazi meetings, broke up other party’s meetings and gave out propaganda leaflets. The Nazi’s also used violence by holding a violent revolution in November 1923 which failed in overthrowing the government.

After 1924 the Nazi party changed their tactics because they gave up on trying overthrowing the government in a putsch because they knew it would not work because they were not supported by the army or the police so they would not have enough weapons or number of men to overthrow the government though violence.

The Nazi party decided they would come into power through the democratic system, by being voted into power. This was the only possible way the Nazi’s could come into power as a violent revolution was not possible to achieve.

After 1924 the Nazi tactics changed a lot as they tried to win support in elections by creating policies that would attract all different classes of people so that they would get support from different groups and they made a lot of propaganda such as Hitler’s speeches and posters so that more people could hear of the Nazi party.

The Nazi party made Hitler the Party Fuhrer, they thought he should be the leader of Germany and they presented him as a great man who could save Germany from disaster. This would gain support from the public as the majority of them believed that Germany needed a strong leader to make Germany the great nation it once was. The Nazi’s expanded the party outside Bavaria so that there were more groups in Germany making the Nazi party more popular and so that more people will hear of the Nazi party.
