As the world’s largest retailer, Wal-Mart strives to take responsibility for its stakeholders. “Save money, live better” is our company’s mission. It not only helps people to save money, but also guarantees that they will live in a better environment and have a better life. We are proactive in creating new environmentally friendly ideas that demonstrate respect for individuals. We hope to continue our approach which seeks to improve global communities by engaging other corporations to follow in our footsteps, and also learn from our experiences. In this proposal we intend to address two of the ten principles of the UN Global Contract:

PRINCIPLE 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally protected human rights.

PRINCIPLE 8: Undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility.

In order to uphold these principles we believe the following steps need to be taken:

• To establish the institution where female workers can get obtain management and technological training. Institution is also responsible in dealing with complaints related to sexual discrimination.

• To invite the third parties to audit the use of child labor....
