Design a flowchart for a process
One of the processes that I do every Monday through Friday is to drive my daughter to the bus stop and then to drive to work. I have to have her to the bus stop at a specific time each morning. I also have to be at work at a certain time. The “time” unit is being prioritized in this process. The flowchart in this process is below.
1. Put Kailee’ in the car
2. Stop for all red stop lights, or stop signs, and any buses that are stopped
3. When I pull into the bus stop completely stop the car, unlock the doors, unbuckle her and say goodbye to her and watch her load onto the bus.
4. When she gets onto the bus I begin my drive to work
5. I stop for all stop signs, stop lights signaled reds, and any stopped traffic.
6. When I arrive to work I completely stop and park the car.
A main factor in this process that could affect this is:
Signals on the way to the bus stop are 6. If I get them that are 6 red stop lights at approximately 2 minutes wait time.
The following is the date I collected for the work week:
Monday 8/20: 3 red light to bus stop, 3 red lights to work=12 minutes
Tuesday 8/21: 1 red light to bus stop, 2 red lights to work= 6 minutes
Wednesday 8/22: o lights to bus stop, 0 lights to work= 0 extra minutes
Thursday 8/23: 4 red lights to bus stop, 3 red lights to work=21 extra minutes
Friday 8/24: 0 lights to bus stop, 2 red lights to work=4 extra minutes
