Subject: Proposal for Rights of Employees in the Work Place
Attached is my proposal to identify and properly deal with the rights of employees in the work place.
There are different violations that occur at the workplace that infringe on the rights of employees. Among these violations, sexual harassment suits and abuses in regards to sexual orientation are most prominent.
The work place must experience evolution just as the business needs to change and be innovative with time.
Of the much diversity in the workplace that of sexual orientation is the one that has elicited mixed debate. This is because of the fact that from conception until death, social structures dictate whom we are and what roles we are expected to execute depending on our gender.
Interesting to note, is that straight men are also exposed to maltreatment in their areas of work. This is largely because emphases have been laid on protecting the rights of the gay community in the process neglecting the rights of other co-workers.
To combat the various forms of abuse at the office, the positions of various stakeholders has to be reviewed and the roles they play in combating these violations scrutinized. This will allow for an effective proposal for all stakeholders. These are the management employees as well as the government.
