Discrimination is the denial of opportunities and equal rights to individuals and groups because of prejudice or for other arbitrary reasons. Discrimination is not allowing a person that is different from your race, sex, or religion to have the same rights as you have. Stereotyping automatically assumes that because the way a person looks they will act a certain way. Discrimination is the act. In many ways it is the result of stereotyping. Prejudice refers to negative judgments and views about a group formed without knowledge, thought, or reason.
