Total Quality Pioneers Paper

As consumer quality expectations are high. The products purchased should have the highest standard of quality that a manufacturer can provide. When a company whom produces a product or service wants to achieve success, total quality must control and guild the company in order to achieve long-term success. This will include constant change and growth of the product or service and the employees whom provide the products or service. To completely understand the importance of quality the elements will have to be explored individually. This will not only give a better explanation, but will also give a clearer view of what quality really is.

The elements of quality are products, services, people, process, and environment, which help to meet or beat expectations and help provide a superior product (Goethsch and Davis, 2010). Consumer expect to receive products, or services which have little to no flaws or defects, this is the consumer definition of quality. This is also an ever changing technique that may have value today and may be of no value in the future. For example the expectation of a car purchase is different now compared to 30 years ago. Where 30 years ago one may have thought of the cars performance and ability to move fast, today one may have more thought toward the cars over all gas mileage and the availability of alternative fuels the car may run on. These qualities are achieved with the proper training of employees and managers.
