when i was in college i managed a sports day of the college and in a very short time. It all started when the college decided to go to the tour to some hilly area but the students were mostly not interested to go to the tour after our exams so i gave suggestion to the teacher and the principal that why not we plan a sports day instead of the tour in this way i gave them a suggestion that we ask the students to make their own teams instead of we make a team for them. i was given the task to manage this event and to some extent i successfully managed it.

well i was in the call center and our job was of sale and was highly pressured job because we use to have weekly targets of sale and it was compulsory for us to beat that target or other wise we get fired so as i was the only one with no previous experience of call center or sales so it was a bit challenging for me to survive there but i managed to make sales. i understood one thing and that is the communication problem between the agents and the customers. i noticed what the representatives tell the customers they mostly don't understand what they are being told so i tried a small trick and that was i use to take them through procedures slowly and i use to talk to them generally as well and they use to like it and not only this as i was in a team i use to help the other team mates as well in making sales because after all i was a team player and i believe to handle the pressure all you need is the consentration and your active mind presence.

well if you ask me about the role i think the marketing is all about the products knowledge and the way of communication that is how good is any one in communicating the customer how you understand the need of your customer. the knowledge about marketing is good but if one doesn't know how to communicate or talk to customers in a right way the marketing knowledge wont help that person to satisfy the customer.
