Ethical dilemma situations have drawn a great attention in companies and their management today. This phenomenon is because of their high frequency of occurrences in day to day business world.

An ethical dilemma is a problematic situation that will mostly make an obvious mental conflict between ethical imperatives, either one should take place will often would result in transgressing another. In a situation of ethical dilemma, moral laws or ethical obligations conflicts in such a way that any possible resolution to the dilemma is morally intolerable. In other words, in a situation of ethical dilemma it is hard to determine that what moral principle will course in right or wrong way.

The rest of this essay regarding an ethical dilemma, will contains mainly three parts. The first part will focus on the ethical dilemma I faced as working for a manufacturing and distribution company. Secondly I will describe what is the path or the way I followed to resolve the dilemma which was helped to the management and finally I attempt to describe the utilitarianism theory and explain and justify my own solution which I followed to resolve the dilemma against this theory.

In two and a half years ago, I experienced an ethical dilemma in my company. (a manufacturing and distribution company) At the time the management was experiencing a lot of issues in both manufacturing & distribution areas in the company including poor quality and less output in manufacturing products, customer complaints and falling customers regarding poor late deliveries and wrong deliveries of goods and poor debtor collection by the debtor collectors. Due to these reasons company is experiencing worst profit ever.
