For decades people always wondered if there is an afterlife or a place where our souls be laid to rest. There is absolutely no proof of such escapade but, it doesn’t stop individuals from believing in this pseudoscience. Personally, I have to say I’m in between a believer and a nonbeliever because some facts make complete sense to me as a 14 year old child but the others just seems quite like unrealistic accusations. One example of afterlife discussed in the book is Psychic Evacuee. Psychic Evacuee is a person that has been evacuated from its own body into another. This happens when you die in your first body and you travel to another host. For Alex’s case its different, his real host is just in a PVS which means a persistent vegetative state.

Alex reminds me a little like my friend Mya, they are both dedicated to what they want and will go to extreme lengths to achieve the impossible. That kind of helped me comprehend why Alex choose to do what he did which was to get to his real body. I found Alex’s character quite charismatic and brave which is something I admire tremendously on a human being. Most people would just stay in that host they were transported to unexpectedly instead of trying to get back to their original body. But Rob was a completely different circumstance, he was so prepared to depart from his history and start a new one with his fresh body, life, and family. I

thought that’s action was extremely cowardly and impulsive which made me full of detestation towards Rob.

“I’m Alex. I’m Inside Phillip. I evacuated nineteen days ago. My original body has been in a coma, then PVS, for more than six months. It is still alive.” Alex wrote this in his first blog on a PVS website to get some insight on what has happened to him.
