I am aware that it is a breach of GIHE regulations to copy the work of another without clear acknowledgement and that attempting to do so renders me liable to disciplinary procedures. To this effect, I have uploaded my work onto Turnitin and have ensured that I have made any relevant corrections to my work prior to submission.

For this project, we collaborated with the members of our group to create a fictitious hotel in a foreign country based on weekly lessons. Initially, I was very enthusiastic to work with our group. By the end, my enthusiasm faded. Instead, I became bitter because one member failed to respond to my requests to fully engage in the group process.

Still, the final report gave me a sense of accomplishment, even as I worked through what became an emotionally challenging process. I’ve had decades of working with people face-to-face, but those were people I had known after the screening process prior to hiring them. This experience, though, was different. I had no prior working relationship with any group member. Yet, I assumed that we all shared the same work ethic. I was wrong.

As I reflect on the group’s performance to meet our project’s objective, I found my leadership skills could be improved.With more a forceful and organized leadership style, the experience would have been better for all participants.
