1. Abstract
The research paper states the various reasons why people love their jobs. Smith and Manna have conducted a study to find the reasons for employee loyalty in today’s competitive market. They state that communication is fading away with more use of e-communication. They focus on three different companies from different sectors to achieve their research objective. I have prepared a critical review on the report presented by Smith and Manna. I have identified many drawbacks that the authors failed to consider in their research design, which may have lead to inappropriate conclusions. Resources and time would have been better spent if secondary data was used during the research. The literature review helps to support my argument. It also provides an insight to the main factors surrounding job satisfaction, which the authors fail to surface. I have identified that people may not be the number one reason for continued employee loyalty.
