U.S. and International Business Operations and Environment

This is a challenging subject, I have many years of working with different people of different cultures in management, but very little knowledge or experience in U.S. and international business operation. What I know I hear in the media. Globalization is the deepening relationship and broadening interdependence among people and countries from different parts of the world (Jilling 1997). In the video Dr. John Craddock addresses many issues about global business and outsourcing. Employers are not interested in taking care of long term employees anymore; they are elimination their positions, they are worried about generating revenue. Many companies in the United States are outsourcing their customer services department to save money and benefits on employees. They figure it is cheaper to outsource services for a $1.00 to $2.00 per hour than it is to stay into the United States and pay one person $8.00 an hour, is this better service. Dr. Craddock states you have to empower your employees to run the business, respect age as wisdom, and build trust and partnership, and revenue will come.

In the video, (Huang 2012) made a good point when he talked about the supply chain, ordering flowers, and how many areas the flowers had to go through before they reach their destination and learn how to cut down your supply chain of your business. We think products are coming from the United States they are coming from other countries and transported to your location. Use the internet to research what they wanted to order or how you can gain access to it.

In the global world countries are trading with each other and people cannot tell where a product is actually made, a factory in Shenzhen owned by Japanese company Hitachi who makes plates of glass and aluminum into shiny computer disks and wrapped in foil.
