Robin Hood Case Analysis

1. What problems does Robin Hood have? What issues need to be addressed?

Problems:

* Robin’s band of Merrymen was growing so large that he didn’t know all of them anymore and there were a lack of provisions and funds to support them.

* Vigilance was in decline and discipline was becoming harder to enforce with the Merrymen.

* The Sheriff, who was supported by Prince John, was getting stronger and more organized and his men were beginning to harass the Merrymen.

* King Richard was imprisoned in Austria and the barons who had given Prince John the regency were trying to collect the ransom to release King Richard and invited Robin to join the conspiracy.

* Robin felt the time had come to change their policy of confiscating goods to a fixed transit tax, but his lieutenants strongly resisted the idea.

Issues to address:

* Help to remove Prince John from power by freeing King Richard from jail.

* Form structure within his group so that it can continue to grow and prosper.
