DIAGNOSTIC ESSAY
I choose to write about the Twilight series, by Stephanie Myers.
Stephenie Meyer is the author of the #1 bestselling Twilight novels. I have read all 4
books in her collection and have found them to be very intriguing. They are filled with
mystery, fantasy and romance and has me on the edge of my seat wanting more as I read
each and every book! I think the reason I come back to this novel, is not only is Stephenie
a great author, but she seems to know exactly what her fans want. A story of love and
passion that will live forever. Who doesn’t want that in real life? As Edward quoted,
“ Bella, I couldn’t live with myself if I ever hurt you. You don’t know how it’s tortured
me. The thought of you, still, white, cold… to never see you blush scarlet again, to never
see that flash of intuition in your eyes when you see through my pretenses… it would be
unendurable. You are the most important thing to me now. The most important thing to
me ever. To me, Edward is kind of like a knight in shining armor, with a twist. I have
really enjoyed where Stephenie Meyers has taken these characters. The books may very
well be fiction, but the love, hate relationship between Bella, Edward, and Jacob can be
very real. This book makes me want to live Bella’s life, and in a way, become her. Bella
has a great relationship with her parents, and she also has a great group of friends she
hangs with. She lives in a small town called, Forks and has a great boyfriend, who just
so happens to be a vampire. Each book leaves you wondering, if Bella is going to make
that transition between human and vampire! To be truthful, this is the fist series of novels
I have ever read and I also wish they wouldn’t end. I have seen the movies that go along
with the books and that made me only...
