Comment on Sam’s approach to training. Would you want him working for your company. What are the benefits of his training to employees and the organization?

“The acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities to improve performance in one’s current job is training. And the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform future job responsibilities is development.” Training is a very essential for every organization to improve and sustain the employee performance. Training also helps in employee motivation. Training is a complete package of knowledge, skills and abilities which enhances the employee performance and helps the organization to update their knowledge and apply that in the jobs. Development essentially helps the organization in the long term. “The goal is to prepare individuals for promotions and future jobs as well as additional job responsibilities. The goal is to prepare employees for” Sam’s approach of training has been very traditional and fun filled. He was able to produce good number of trainees and keep the employees happy and satisfied with his training, as mentioned in the case some managers even said that the training was the best reward they ever had. Sam’s training module were all the same and he would modify them as the need be however he did not give a deep insight as to what was the need and then design the module accordingly.
