Theilhard Justification of God/Christ in Evolution

Teilhard de Chardin was born May 1, 1881 in Oscines France. He was born the fourth child in his family. Teilhard’s efforts in science gained notoriety because he was among the first researchers to analyze the bone fragments in Zhoukoudian and China. As a child he observed his father, a naturalist who collected plants and stones which inspired him in many ways. He was a paleontologist, geologist, and a Jesuit priest who was known for his controversial image of the world and the way he perceived existence. With his views of evolution as being a part of God’s plan, he succeeded in establishing a relationship between Evolution and Christianity. He had visions that the shape of the earth would lead to cultures diverging and him becoming a figure within the Roman Catholic Church. His argument was that global awareness would create unions which would focus mainly on diversity and individuality. “His life was mostly spent trying to understand the spiritual value while permeate his Catholic culture.” There were images that human’s gain their energy by God while helping to spiritualize matter and build the “Kingdom of God”. This would be accomplished by collaborating with the inherent divine purpose. His spiritual belief was created into fascination while researching the consummation process.
