Leadership in Healthcare Management

Leaders in Healthcare Management require a high quality of leader. Second to none is Darlene Farek the director of the ER at St. Mary’s hospital in Port Arthur TX. Leadership requires many aspects to make a good leader. Observing and putting it into your own attributes of great leaders. Leaders with great leadership qualities will help you become a better leader yourself.

My field of study is healthcare management. Choosing this field was an easy choice for me. I choose this field because I want to help people, also make more money. But most of all to get me into the medical field so I can make my dream come true of becoming a doctor. I expect myself with hard work and no unforeseen problem I will graduate in May of 2016.

I chose Darlene Farek director of the ER at St. Mary’s hospital for the leader who inspires me. I chose her because she started out in life just like I did. Darlene started out without nothing and eating nothing but rice and beans to get by. While getting her degree she worked full time as an EMT and helped raise two children. Darlene inspires me with her leadership skills. Like her ability to keep calm in the time of panic. For instants when the bottom falls out at the ER and everything gets hectic. She keeps a level head and stayed calm and sorts everything out; saving lives by directing/leading people and guiding them into what they need to do. The difference Darlene has mad in her industry has been tremendous. She has made a positive impact “by maintaining honest respectful relationships with high level of integrity. By doing that when I speak with the community they know when I say something is going to happen it will happen.
