Social media has become one of the channels that is used by many organization to gain influence or even as financial source. In terms of non-profit organization, social media would be an important channel to gain both influence and financial source at the same time. There are several reason why social media such as facebook or twitter ,etc is really important for non-profit organization

2.0.1 Social media is cost efficient yet effective for fundraising.

The fact that non-profit organizations are faced with financial difficulty, it won’t be efficient to subscribe for mass media advertisement or even a campaign because it would cost them too much financial costs. Meanwhile, just by using social media, what they need is simply a creativity and willingness to promote them self in social media. For example, using facebook, non-profit organization can create a page, introduce themselves and explain on what they are doing as well as showing the details of account that people can use to donate. The facebook itself are popular and filled with around 250 million peoples around the world (blogfacebook---). This numbers of people also mean that once the non-profit organization got several followers, more people are going to recognize the organization through words of mouth and friends of their followers. As a result, other than gaining influence, more people starts to know about the organization which widen the chance of people donating, thus creating more financial sources.
