First of all I would like to say that this assignment is similar to the way we are setup here at GoDaddy.com here in Arizona we have office one in Gilbert, Tempe, and Scottsdale. Each office has it’s own LAN and each department is setup on the subnet, during this assignment I will be using a similar setup for Central University.

Here are my Assumptions:

1. Ever college, department and living area is connected to the Backbone network.

2. As for the three larger colleges we will assume that each one of them is on there own local area network (LAN) which is connected to each other one via a router, which is connected to the main network the Backbone network.

3. All other buildings are connected to the BN via a OpenWRT based router.

4. Assuming there is only one router supporting the BN. It will be assigned the IP address 173.128.254.0

5. Every subnet has the network address 173.128.x.x.

6. We are using a class B address for the subnets.

Part 1:

1. First college, with 3 buildings will be assigned the IP address 173.128.254.1. Each building has it’s own LAN. LAN 1 will be assigned the IP address (173.128.1.0), LAN 2 (173.128.2.0), and LAN 3 (173.128.3.0). Router IP 173.128.254.1

2. Second college, with 3 buildings will be assigned the IP address 173.128.254.2. Each building has it’s own LAN. LAN 1 will be assigned the IP address 173.128.4.0. LAN 2 (173.128.5.0), and LAN 3 (173.128.6.0). Router 2 IP 173.128.254.2

3. Third college, with 3 buildings will be assigned the IP address 173.128.254.3. Each building has it’s own LAN. LAN 1 will be assigned the IP address 173.128.7.0. LAN 2 (173.128.8.0), and LAN 3 (173.128.9.0). Router 3 IP 173.128.253.3

4. The rest of university buildings 4 through 10 have one LAN and one router. LAN IP’s will be College 4 (173.128.10.0), College 5 (173.128.11.), College 6 (173.128.12.0), College 7 (173.128.13.0), College 8 (173.128.14.0), College 9 (173.128.15.0), College 10...
