PRELIMINARY RESEARCH

Records of my Search:

UNO Database Search

For my first search, the database that I used was ProQuest – Health and Science Abstracts. I search for “Electronic Health Records” and selected scholarly journal as source type. I also selected Journal article as Document type. I received 196 results. I chose one article from the Health and Science Abstract database. It was “Use Of Electronic Health Records Can Improve The Health Care Industry’s Environmental Footprint”, by Marianne Turley, Catherine Porter, Terhilda Garrido, and others, published in Health Affairs, A scholarly journal. The second database that I took a scholarly journal article from was Academic Search Premier. I searched for Electronic Health Records, with Full Text and Scholarly Journals selected and received 685 results. The article that I chose from this database was “Integration of a nationally procured electronic health record system into user work practices” by Kathrin M. Cresswell, Allison Worth, and Aziz Sheikh, published by BMC Medical Informatics and Decision Making, an Academic journal. My third and final journal article was found by Academic Search Premier as well, using the same search criteria as listed above. The title is “Anything but engaged: user involvement in the context of a national electronic health record implementation” by Kathrin Cresswell, Zoe Morrison, Sarah Crowe, and others, published by Informatics in Primary Care, an academic journal.

I searched for Electronic Health Record Sites on Google.com and came up with 79,100,000 results. From there, I got all four of my sites needed.
